In this section, you will find practical hints which will allow you to preserve the original appearance of your ceramic cooktop and stainless steel appliances even longer.

Ceramic cooktop: Choose cookware that will give good performance...

Stainless steel:
Check pans for flat bottoms using a straight edge. You can check this out by turning the pan’s back and placing a rule on the bottom of the pan. No space must be seen between the rule and the pan. Pans with rounded, curved, ridged or warped bottoms are not recommended since these pans may damage or scratch the glass permanently.

Aluminum:
Check for heavy weight pans. Aluminum has good conductivity. Aluminum residues sometimes appear as scratches on the cooktop, but they can be removed easily if cleaned immediately. Because of its low melting point, thin weight aluminum should not be used

Copper bottoms:
Copper pans are recommended. However, do not let these pots boil dry. Overheated metal can bound to glass cooktop or leave a residue that will permanently stain the cooktop if not removed immediately.

Cleaning and maintenance...

Regular daily cleaning: Use ONLY Cerama Bryte® glass-ceramic cooktop cleaner. Other creams could be less efficient.

1. Before using the cooktop for the first time, clean it with Cerama Bryte® glass-ceramic cooktop cleaner. This will facilitate the cleaning and help protecting the surface.

2. A daily use of Cerama Bryte® glass-ceramic cooktop cleaner will help to keep the cooktop surface looking like brand new.

3. Shake well. Apply Cerama Bryte® glass-ceramic cooktop cleaner directly on cool cooktop.

4. Use a paper towel or a Cerama Bryte® cleaning pad to clean the whole glass-ceramic surface. It is very important to clean any residue on the cooktop prior to using it.

How to remove tough residues...

1. Let the cooktop surface cool down.

2. Apply Cerama Bryte® glass-ceramic cooktop cleaner directly on burnt and baked-on deposits.

3. Use a scraper with a 45° angle razor blade and scrape the cooktop to remove all tough residues. Rub the surface with a Cerama Bryte® glass-ceramic cooktop cleaning pad, applying the needed pressure. Repeat as necessary.

WARNING : Damages to your glass-ceramic cooktop can occur if you use inappropriate cleaning pads other than Cerama Bryte® ceramic cooktop cleaning pads.

4. For additional protection, after all residues have been removed, polish the whole surface with Cerama Bryte® ceramic cooktop cleaner and a paper towel.

Stainless steel:

Use Cerama Bryte® stainless steel cleaning polish and conditioner containing mineral oil on all your stainless steel appliances such as refrigerator, range, oven and dishwasher. Always wipe in direction of brush marks. Repeat as necessary.
